Montmorency Records proudly presents the authentic sounds taken from the archives of the legendary Parisian cabaret, LIDO. The two-volume album, French Music Hall Archives 1 and 2, were taken from the Prestige Review, a show created in 1957 that mixed elegant and glowing orchestral jazz, “Sword-and-sandal” film scores, vocal pieces as well as music with glamorous, sensual, and mysterious moods.

Located at the iconic Champs-Élysées, the LIDO cabaret is a famous and iconic lounge known for its spectacular and extravagant shows, featuring dazzling costumes, elaborate sets, and talented performers. The venue has entertained audiences since it opened in 1946 and is a popular destination for locals and tourists looking to experience the glamour and excitement of Parisian cabaret. The venue has a rich history and has hosted numerous renowned performers.
